ABOUT

Jonathan Sims is, at first glance, a rather stoic and straight-laced academic type. He works as the Head Archivist for The Magnus Institute, an institution dedicated to researching the paranormal, despite being very much a skeptic of many of the statements they receive there. But just like there's more than the Institute than meets the Eye, so is there more to Jon. He might not be all that good at doing what's right, but he genuinely does try. He can be kind when you get past his prickly exterior. 

Fair warning, there will be Magnus Archives spoilers from here on in.

As the series goes on, it's revealed that The Archivist is more than just a job title. Through his association with the Institute, Jon becomes an avatar for a dread power known as The Ceaseless Watcher, whom he serves (albeit unwillingly) in his capacity as The Archivist. This imbues him with certain abilities that can possibly be present while threading with him.

ABILITIES 

The Ceaseless Watcher is all about knowing all there is to know, and so Jon's abilities as Archivist are in a similar vein:

• He has the ability to compel people to answer questions or speak truthfully, even against their will. 
  
• He can know various types of information just by willing it, though it happens more often than not by accident.
• He has an accelerated healing factor and is incredibly hard to kill, at least given he's well-fed enough (and it's stories about encounters with the Fears that he feeds on, at least after he's gotten to this point in his canon).

Most of these apply to a mid-series or later Jon, so they may or may not be relevant while threading with him. We can always discuss which abilities may or may not apply on a case-by-case basis.

SHIPS + ROMANCE

Mun here is a multishipper with most of her muses, and Jon here is no exception! I love him with Martin of course and am always willing to write some jmart. Some other ships I'm fond of are Jon/Tim, Jon/Sasha, Jon/Elias (derogatory), and... well, honestly? Throw a ship at me and I'm probably amenable, at least after a bit of discussion.

Another thing I'm up for after a discussion are smut threads. Big note though: Jon is canonically ace. I write him as a gray ace who is pretty neutral towards the concept of sex, though not repulsed. I'm happy to discuss this further if needed. I'm a biromantic ace myself, and I'd want to go into writing any sort of spicy scenes with everyone on the same page and feeling comfortable.
